Qua Auq
2015 | 85cm X 70cm | Giclée print

Lam Qua was the first western-trained Chinese artist, famous for his incredible paintings of medical conditions. The vitrine is a digital recreation of one at the National Museum of Singapore, and is faithful even to the reflections on the glass. The skull was digitally made in reference to contemporary photographs of Lam Qua.

This project I did in collaboration with the historian and curator, Dr. Adele Tan.
